Cities where he/she works: Rio de Janeiro, COPENHAGEN

Guide presentation

Hi, my name is Bruno and I am born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, city where I started out my own business since 2006, addressing Favela Walking Tours, that still runs all year long!

As a local person born and raised in Rocinha Favela who lead tours in several languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, German, Hebrew and Danish. Be part of this social experience and let them be an unforgettable part of your trip!

I moved to Copenhagen in 2014 and since then I have been studying Danish history and by that, I would like to share with you not only my own experiences but its magical city of Copenhagen!

Just a brief about the Scandinavia most attractive capital.

Copenhagen is world famous for its biking culture and now officially the first Bike City in the World. In 2013, it was also voted the ‘Best city for cyclists’ and the ‘World’s most liveable city’. It really is biking heaven for the cyclist in Copenhagen with over 390 kilometres of designated bike lanes. In the 1960s, cars were threatening to displace bicycles in the main Danish cities. But the oil crisis, the environmental movement and a couple of controversial road projects reversed the trend.

As we get to know Copenhagen, we will discover of its proudly viking history and see reflections today of its independent ways. We will stroll down Europe´s first pedestrian boulevard.

Now, let me introduce myself:

My name is Bruno, I am a Brazilian, born in 1985, as Tour Guide I developed Walking Tours in Rocinha (The biggest slum in Latin America) that takes place in Rio. Since 2006 I have had my own tourism business based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and this business has given me a solid base upon which I plan to build my career.

Living in Copenhagen since 2014 and after seeing the city by many ways; bus, boat, bicycle. I decided to offer travelers an opportunity to understand this city by our “Walking Tour” as I believe this is one of the best ways to get to see and feel the city in one of the most liveable cities in the world and explain about it.
