The Seville Cathedral, the largest Gothic cathedral, is worth a visit on its own. The inside is jaw-dropping and your family will spend some time finding the best side chapels and important spots like Christopher Columbus’s grave, to finish climbing to the top of the imposing, stairless bell tower.
Visit the Real Alcazar (Royal Palace)
From the outside, the Alcazar looks like an unimpressive old fortress but when you walk through the gates and start exploring, it is a bit like finding a hidden treasure. Originally a Moorish fort, the Alcazar is still used as a royal residence. Inside, you can see beautifully preserved evidence of different periods, the perfect way to follow the time line of the city with quiz and games.
Then, when the family start to tire of exploring inside we will escape to the gardens. Here you see the Christian influences with bubbling fountains and gravel pathways through the sculptured gardens and fruit trees.
Pick up at your hotel and the possibility of skip the lines at the main monuments.
