The Chianti Classico district lies between Florence and Siena, the two cities that fought over it for centuries. It is an hilly country, rich in woodlands and dotted with little towns, castles, ancient churches and farmhouses with their vineyards, olive orchards and unpaved roads that preserve the rural landscape intact.
First stop Panzano in Chianti
Panzano is in the “golden valley”, a small paradise of prestigious grapes and harvest.; here, you will Immerse yourself in one of those Tuscan postcards with rolling hills and vineyards.
Second stop Radda in Chianti
Radda in Chianti village is the historic headquarters of the “Lega del Chianti”, a military founded in 1384 by the Florentine Republic to administrate and protect the region of chianti . In the climate of eternal conflict between Florence and Siena, was born the legend of the black cockerel on a gold background, the symbol of Chianti.
Third stop Winery.
Just 10 minutes from Radda in Chianti, in the heart of “Sangiovese” (the main grape of Chianti Classico) we will have a Wine Tasting into a typical Tuscan Winery; a winery totally organic certified, both in the fields and in the cellar.
The 3 wines that we will taste have a unique and unmistakable acid tone, where the bouquet and the tannins come out at their best.
We will taste:
- 1 White Chianti wine
- 1 Red Chianti Classico
- 1 Red Chianti Classico “riserva”.
The wines that we will taste are on the Slow wine guide 2015 it means that are wines produced under the Slow Food philosophy.
