Midtown East: The Non-Architect's Architectural Tour
See often overlooked truly great and spectacular buildings.
Midtown East is a treasure trove of architectural treasures. This tour reveals the treat of contrast and the stories behind the architectural history spanning from 1911 to 1986.
From Grand Central Terminal and the NYC Public Library, our Beaux Arts beauties to stunning Art Deco gifts including the Chrysler Building, the Chanin Building and lesser known but spectacular RCA Building. The Moorish Revival of Central Synogouge and to the Byzantine beauty of St Bart\'s Church delight and surprise. And don\'t miss the kind of quirky Post-Modern \"Lipstick Building.\"
But hey, always happy to get out of midtown to the Lower East Side, Chinatown, Chelsea, Harlem, Central Park, The Cloisters. I love walking this city.
And art--if you want to see art this is the city for you. We can talk about your preferences and make a plan.
Additionally I am CELTA certified to teach ESL and am available to conduct tours in English that will build your vocabulary, give you a chance to practice conversational English and teach you a bit of NYC slang.
Art--seeing it and making it-- walking, talking to strangers, eating cheap ethnic food.
