Maria Gastaldi Rößler : Professional Tour Guide
Qualification: European Quality Certificate: DIN-EN
Membership: Berlin Guides Federation,
Federation of the German Guides (BVGD)
Degrees: Foreign languages (English, French, German, Italian) and Sociology
In 1982 I came to Berlin, at that time a divided city, to study at the Free University.
From the very beginning this city charmed me and I fell in love with Berlin.
After my studies I worked at the Institute of Sociology at the FU Berlin as a research assistant. In 2003 I decided to start my own business which is compatible with my cultural and historic interests and my knowledge of foreign languages.
In 2004 I qualified myself as a professional guide thru the Federation of the Berlin Guides. While working in the field I attended advanced training. In 2009 I became a member of the Federation of the German Guides and in 2011 I received the European Quality Certificate DIN-EN.
My aim as a tour guide is to give each participant the insider knowledge about Berlin. The ingredients of my walks and tours are not only history and culture but also the bits and pieces that determined the development of the city.
Most important to me is personal contact with those on my tours. I love to meet new people the youngest as well as the adults. On foot, by bike, by public transportation or your favourite combination we will start our discovery tour and enjoy it together.
