German& English-Speaking Tour Guide, Dublin and Ireland
After qualifying as an Tourist Board Approved National Guide over 15 years ago my
first tour around Ireland was with a group of German corporate clients. The tour ended with us all singing folk songs in the cellar bar of a castle hotel together with an Irish rockstar who happened to be there on the night. It is that mixture of meeting interesting people coupled with the unpredictability of where the highways and byways of Ireland will lead that still fuels my enthusiasm for every tour.
With a Masters in Business studies specialising in Tourism Management my experience includes working with groups ranging in size from 2-2000 people, both on my own or managing teams of 40 other guides. Group Transportation can be by bicycle or helicopter, coach or limousine, even by horse and cart.
Clients to date have included special interest groups from choirs to farmers, from royalty to football teams, from journalists to Ryder Cup winners. The aim is always to find out from the audience what makes them tick and respond in an informative and entertaining way. My three kids also help to keep me \"current\" and grounded.
The one thing I bring with me on every tour is a bit of \"craic\" (Gaelic word for fun, not narcotics!) I look forward to welcoming you to Ireland!
